What are the best locations and areas in Phuket for buying property or real estate?
That totally depends on your lifestyle and taste or convenience.
Phuket has a wide selection of different property types that comes along with very diversified investment cases. The most popular or well know area in Phuket, is Patong, which hosts also one of the biggest beaches in Phuket and the most pulsating nightlife scenery, with its notorious “Bangla Road”. “Patong Area” has also two of the biggest shopping centers in Phuket, which includes the “Jungceylon” and the new built Central Festival Patong. The closer you get to Patong Area, the more traffic, and the more touristic action you should consider. Just South of Patong is Kata and Karon, which are also now popular tourist areas with nice beaches and further south, slightly far away from everything is Nai Harn and Rawai which is sometimes taken by Expats who look for the more relaxed lifestyle little bit away from the tourist hotspots.
If you look up north, you get to Kalim (which is mainly still part of Patong area), Kamala (with Café del Mar Beach Club), Surin and Bang-Tao, where on all those locations many developments took place over the last years. Right now, a very hot area is Bang-Tao, which hosts in our views the best beach of Phuket, the Catch Beach Club and the most clean and best beach in central located West Phuket.
Further north is the more tranquil residential area Laguna, which has many 5 Star accommodations and luxury residential villas and residences with a diversified mix of Lagoons and Beaches, high-end shopping, and restaurants. Its more the modern-western-world area in Phuket, with its lifestyle and small boutique shops or restaurants.
If you look for a more tranquil location and a little bit away from the tourist hotspots and traffic, it will be maybe Laguna and Mai Kao, which is just up slightly north and close to the airport.
